Designed for cars that pull trailers with LED lights.
The turn signal in most cars requires a large load, also Can-Bus requires a load, but the LED lights on the trailer require very little load, therefore problems will arise when the trailer is coupled to the car. This issue has RACO and G.S.E. eliminated with the new Lamp Simulator.
It is mounted on the trailers, but only trailers with LED lights. If it is installed on trailers with incandescent lamps, the vehicle will be overloaded / detect errors.
Installation: It is for external mounting as the lamp simulator develops some heat, depending on load. Therefore, it must NOT be installed near temperature-sensitive units / components and must not come near flammable materials. Must be mounted on a heat-conducting metal workpiece, with as free air circulation as possible.
Connection: The connections are bidirectional and may therefore be exchanged.
The lamp simulator is available in 3 versions:
- Item no. 11700 is equipped with free cable ends
- Item no. 11707 is equipped with 7 poles. connectors and can
- Item no. 11713 is equipped with 13 poles. connectors and can
The lamp simulator No. 117XX series is designed to run with all known vehicles, but the car factories can produce features that are unknown to us and therefore RACO and G.S.E. do not guarantee these situations.
